Back at it! Took a few days break from blogging; was very busy at work and at the gym.
This week's Hump Day is finally complete! Can't wait for the weekend. Going to be spending time in the gym of course and going to be meeting up with some friends.
Had my first experience with road rage today. I'm a conservative driver; I don't honk if someone cuts me off and I don't really get mad all that often unless people are being dumb and reckless on the road.
But today I got extremely annoyed by some old dude who would not let me merge at all, even though he was holding up two lanes of traffic. I just flipped him off and let him drive by. Seemed to make him angrier which in my book is a success. Just can't get away from all the douche bags in this world I guess.
I've also been working on getting another job out of state! Hopefully I can move into a new position somewhere else that appreciates me a little more than where I'm currently at. I don't being given robot tasks and I don't like being looked at as just another disposable worker. I feel I bring value to the table and work my hardest to do so. Why shouldn't I be treated better?
If there's one thing I've learned in life, you cannot let other people put you down. If you're in an environment where that's happening to you, I say get the hell out of there! Sounds so freakin' cliche but life is wayyyyyy too short to allow yourself to be treated unfairly. Everyone in this world deserves to at least be treated with respect and non-judgmentally.
With that said, I'm off to bed so I can face another Thursday in my life as Dante Fortulia.

Burt's Bees Men's Products: My First Product Review Ever!
As I stated in my latest Post of the Day up to this point, I am going to begin doing product reviews of either products I try out for myself or products people suggest and I look into/purchase and test.
Today's review is for the men's products which Burt's Bees offers.
To begin, I just want to let everyone know that I've been using the Burt's Bees shaving cream for men for about 4 months now. I have severe acne which began in my pre-teens and got extremely worse during my later teen and early twenties years. I read everything I could on acne and how it worsens and what a person can do to prevent/stop it from occurring. To my surprise, the type of shaving cream a man uses can increase/decrease his chances of getting facial acne.
The skin on my whole entire body is very sensitive. I can't use certain types of tanning lotion, I can't use certain types of facial moisturizers, and I can't even let some fruits touch my skin (quite weird, I know).
Previously, I was using a shaving creme that is VERY popular among men and is marketed quite heavily. I'm betting most men have tried their shaving gels/creams. They do give a very close shave, but gave me tons of acne.
Since using the all natural Burt's Bees shaving cream, I have seen my acne SIGNIFICANTLY, and I mean SIGNIFICANTLY, decrease. My face is nearly clear with the exception of acne scars on my cheeks and chin and a couple marks on my forehead.
I was beyond ecstatic at the impact the shaving cream had.
It smells just like the shaving cream that barbers use and is very natural/masculine smelling. Even my sister said she enjoys using it and it's not even for women lol. You can find the product on the Burt's Bees official website for only $8.00. Talk about a freakin' steal.
Last week, I decided to shop online (I rarely, if ever, do) and treat myself to the other Burt's Bees products I had been wanting to try but couldn't find in stores. These products are:

Last week, I decided to shop online (I rarely, if ever, do) and treat myself to the other Burt's Bees products I had been wanting to try but couldn't find in stores. These products are:
- The body wash
- The bar soap
- The deodorant
- The aftershave
I'll begin with the body wash. This stuff smells so good when you open it, but once you use it you'll notice the smell can be a bit much if you're the type of person who uses cologne after showering and wants to smell more like the designer cologne you invest in versus the $8.00 body wash. This all natural product cleans well and leaves skin feeling great, but that is the only problem I had with it. The smell is just a little overpowering for me.
Next up: the bar soap. I'm not the type of guy who likes using bar soap simply because I find liquid body washes easier to use. However, what's good about this soap is that it is FANTASTIC on my face before I shave every morning. I can actually my skin "calming down" and becoming less sensitive as it soaks in the natural ingredients of the soap. The bar smells fantastic, almost like a faint honey smell. It makes my entire bathroom smell great along with cleaning my pores. Only downside of this soap is that the bar is quite small for $4.00. Then again, that really isn't that much for a clean body lol.
As guys, we all know how terrible it can be if you don't have the right deodorant. Itchy, sweaty, smelly pits are freakin' disgusting. The problem I have with other deodorants is that they actually tend to dry out my arm pits. The Burt's Bees deodorant didn't do that, which I'm thankful for, but it also didn't really keep the smell away either for as long as I need it to. I am an athlete; I play basketball, soccer, run track, tennis, and swim. After a normal workout (nothing too vigorous), I began noticing that I was starting to smell. This normally doesn't happen with my other deodorant that I usually use. Guess I will be switching back.
Finally, we have the aftershave. This is possibly my most favorite aftershave and moisturizer of all time! Natural is the way to go when it comes to your face. Like the shaving cream they sell, Burt's Bees aftershave is all natural and leaves my face smooth and sweet smelling after a close shave. The shaving cream and aftershave combo should be sold in a pack. I am absolutely in love with both items. What I notice about this aftershave is that it seems to be absorbed by my skin a lot quicker than regular aftershaves that can be found in Target. I was previously using the Aveeno aftershave. Although the Aveeno product is about $2.00 less than the BB one, I am going to spend that extra couple of bucks all day on this product. Can't say enough great things about it.
On a last note, I want to stress the importance of taking care of your body. Men are often left out when it comes to talking about their feelings and confidence. Ever since I began taking care of my body physically, it has helped me mature mentally and gain the confidence I need to excel in every aspect of my life and my career. By taking care of myself with these BB products, I am only succeeding further and I wish the same for all you guys out there who read this!
Post of the Day: 12/5/2013
Today was sort of like a hump. It started out great with lots of laughs and joke cracking with co-workers. Then, during the afternoon and into the evening, people started getting on my nerves so I left and sat in traffic for 40 minutes.
Unlike most people, I do not mind traffic. My car is nice and cozy and super comfortable. I'm fortunate to have new tires and all the new safety features on my vehicle. Among my many features are the speakers and tinted windows which are my absolutely favorite.
The speakers make blasting music so much fun. I play around with the bass and the treble and the other function (whatever that's called) and just chill in traffic worrying about absolutely nothin'.
The tinted windows are tinted so dark that when I honk at someone or cut someone off, no one can see who's inside my car. Saves me having to flip them back off or give them dirty looks.
It's raining pretty hard right now. The sound of it hitting the pavement outside is really relaxing as my upstairs neighbor blares some smooth jazz beats. Pretty good combo. Would make a good R&B beat lol.
I told my close friend from work about this blog I've been writing. He said I should expand my writing into reviews of things other bloggers suggest. Sounds like a good idea to me as I doubt anyone really wants to read the current posts I'm putting up haha.
So if you have an idea for a product review, just let me know. I would be happy to review it for free. I am going to start doing so in my next post that is going to be published shortly after this!!!

Post of the Day: 12/4/2013
Beautiful weather down here today. Was a little wet but warm enough to be comfortable. I absolutely hate chilly/cold weather with a passion.
Remember that lady from work that I mentioned in yesterday's Post of the Day who thought I was being rude to her? Turns out she wasn't really upset with me. I apologized anyway but then for the rest of the day she wasn't speaking to me. I think I'm done worrying about that though. What a waste of time. Some people need to learn to get over things.
I'm sitting in my place watching street traffic outside. The headlights are endless for miles as it's rush hour and it's a pretty nice sight. Very mesmerizing for sure.
Just got a news alert on my phone that says something about Mexican officials finding an empty container that is used to hold radioactive materials. Then it states that it does not pose a threat to the population. Um...wouldn't you think that having someone running around with radioactive material might be a slight concern? Or maybe the article means that it's an old container that was lost and now has been found. Who knows. But then again, how the hell do you lose a container that holds radioactive stuff?
Faith in humanity...obliterated.
Actually, I found a link to the article: http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2013/12/04/world/americas/04reuters-mexico-nuclear-iaea-removal.html?hp&_r=0
Looks like some people stole a truck that was carrying the material, opened it, and now are probably going to die since they were exposed to it.
What idiots.
Anyway, work was rather decent today. Had a few meetings here and there and was able to check out my work love who I mentioned in my first Post of the Day. She never fails to be flawless.
On that note, I'm going to watch a movie and hit the bed. Have a great night to anyone who's actually reading this!

Funny Video
I just died laughing at this video:
Hilarious, notable parts:
DJ Khaled - "We the best!"
Plies - "When I shower dawg, I wear a shower cap."
OJ Da Juiceman - "OJ Da Juiceman, celebrate Hanukkah, every time I rap dawg, they be like, huh n*gga?"
I literally fell over out of my chair laughing hysterically when OJ said that.
Nicki Minaj - Her entire rap is funny.
Waka Flocka Flame - See Nicki Minaj.
I could totally see Lil Wayne actually using these exact lyrics from this video in one of his songs. "You more confused than a boy ladybug." That's friggin' pure genius man. So funny.

Post of the Day: 12/3/2013
So now that I'm done with the intro post, I figured I'd start a post about what when on today in my life. These Posts of the Day don't really need to be read by anyone, and they're not really written for people to read lol. I'm going to write them because I want to get it all out before I go to bed so I don't need to think about what happened during the day while I sleep.
Woke up pretty late today but got to work on time. Grabbed something to eat from the food court and it was pretty decent. In the office, there was a meeting going down which I certainly did not want to be a part of since I was only half awake so I decided to take a detour to my desk that doesn't go past that conference room.
On the way to my desk, I saw my work love. She's been working here for quite a while now and I've always had my eye on her since the first day I saw her. When I introduced myself the first time I met her, I immediately ran to my friend's office and told him how amazing I thought she was. He laughed and thought I was a nut case. Can't say that I blame him - I only knew she existed for about an hour!
I sat down at my desk and realized that it's probably a good idea to be a bit more productive this week than I was last week. I didn't feel like doing squat last week partially because it was Thanksgiving week and also because last week was filled with way too much boring paperwork to do.
I'm the kind of person who works great under pressure and can handle a fairly decent workload, but if it just becomes overwhelming, I just turn my computer off and go home and forget about it lol. Not the best quality to have, but it's the truth.
But from now on I hope to not be like that. I want to move up in this company and I want to plant roots here. Well, maybe. Haven't decided that far into the future yet.
When I was talking with another co-worker later in the day, this lady who's quite friendly joined in the conversation. We were talking about stores we thought were good. Clothing stores specifically, not grocery stores or pet stores or whatever else stores.
She mentioned she'd had her coat for like 15 years and I made a comment saying that's close to how long I've been alive. She took it as me saying she was old, but I definitely did not mean it in that way. I wasn't even thinking of it like that until she made a weird face and my co-worker buddy told me how it came off.
I'm going to apologize to her tomorrow and hope she doesn't rip into me.
That's what irked me a little bit today, but I think I will be over it and forget about it by the end of tomorrow.
Oh! How could I forget? My work love.
She is freakin' magnificent. Never seen a woman so beautiful in my life. She's very career focused, but I don't think she knows what she wants out of a personal life, if that makes any sense. She's quiet, but outgoing when in a group. She makes the silliest faces and has a great sense of humor. Every day I walk into work and she's the first person I look for. Simply a great way to start the day.
Just wish I had the courage to ask her out. Truth is, I've had my heart broken once, and I'm scared to take on a relationship again right now.
Who knows what the future holds.

First Post: Just noticed a massive fail lol
First blogger post ever. Woop woop!
My name's Dante. I just noticed that when I created this account I had it linked to my Gmail that is under my alias name Dante Lopez. But when I decided to create my personal blog, I put my real name as the domain name: dantefortulia.blogspot.com.
Talk about a fail. Might as well just go by my real name now lol.
A little bit about me: I'm a young guy who lives in the United States. I work at a marketing agency and get paid alright. I love what I do and don't ever want to be doing anything else outside this field. I don't have a girlfriend/wife/kids. I have a sister and she's my best friend and I love her.
I did a brief stint in college right after I graduated HS, but it certainly was not for me. I just wanted to be out on my own doing my own thing, ya know? I realized early on in my life that I have to do what's best for me, no matter how many times my family members told me what the "correct" path in life was.
The point of this blog is basically because I enjoy writing. Twitter only allows a certain number of characters and Facebook is filled with useless drama between people I never even keep in touch with so I deactivated both of those accounts. Since I have always been good at and love writing, I figured it would be a good idea to just blog about life on this blog.
I intend on writing a lot of stuff on here. I want to use it not only to have something to look back on, but also to have a place to share my own ideas and thoughts without being called an idiot or having to argue with some hater. That's why I love the comment function on Blogspot blogs lol. I don't have to approve or even look at them if I really don't want to.
Although I said that I like the comment function where I don't need to look at them if I don't want to, the truth is: I probably will read most of them just out of curiosity. If you want to get in touch with me or start a conversation, definitely just drop me a comment and we'll see what happens. :) I'm a friendly guy for the most part. ;)
